Since the US gov (medicade) pays for viagra for released sexual offenders I'd guess you have a GREAT chance of getting something prescribed .....if the wife keeps up the 'honey, I'm getting naked" comments maybe viagra would be just the ticket.

It only snows in the winter? I don't mow much with it yet. The old Craftsman does ok and I figure the less I use it, the longer it will last.

Oh man, that's a horrible philosophy, think about it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But it describes my "bachelor years" better than anything I've ever heard......

I'm afraid Willman is right.....

"Yes, tractor addiction is legal, but it dont stop there!
Its the new implement fixes that'll get ya.
The smell of new paint on cold steel, oh my.
Trying to get that new piece of equipment in the barn before the wife comes home.
Drooling over the rotary cutter brochures.
Scrounging for money for the next new attachment.
Then you'll need a bigger barn, need more land....
its a visious cycle!.."

The tractor is simply the "gateway".....the implements are the real addiction.

Just one more tool to make us money or save us time. Just one more peripheral item, like a hydraulic cylinder or a coupling, to make things run a little smoother. Just one more paying job and it'll be all better...yes, yes, yes.

Before you know it, you're fibbing to the family about where you've been and what you've done with your money. You're calling in sick to work and making excuses to stay home. You're time away is pure agony and it's all you think about, yet your time alone is pure joy.

Yes, you are now a member of the "victim society" in this country and deservedly so. You were ignorant of the addictive nature of this blatantly legal product we know as tractors. You were hoodwinking by sharp tongued capitalists into squandering your hard-earned money on such trappings....."easy financing, nothing down, low interest"...yeah, we've all heard the pitch.

Yes sir, you need to contact your local ACLU, the nearest branch office of the American Worker's Party, the Sierra Club, N.O.W., and the Kennedy family in order to establish your victimhood and begin the awareness campaign reaching out to all of those like you who are afflicted (but just don't know it) with "tractorholism."

I feel your pain, brother.....

Oh lord! Three years later and I find this thread again while looking for a picture I'd posted of my toothbar! And it's all so true! My fuel bowl is toast and this weekend totally sucks with withdrawals.. My wife still calls for supper at least 5 minutes before it's actually ready!! Almost 300 hours now..

You never took the proper treatment...ADD at least ONE MORE tractor to the mix...one breaks...NO WITHDRAWAL...:D

Well, my wife used to complain but at least she knows where I am---in the barn. Therefore, my one tractor has become four while others have come and gone over the years. She must figure it's a small price to pay for wedded bliss.
On supper, she has long since given up and we have evolved into the nomadic meal plan so popular in the rural West.

Separately, look at all the posters that have come and gone. What happened? Where did they go? Does this fate await us all?

Henro is right. I'm probably going to get kicked off the TBN for admitting my low hour meter count.

You better think of getting a vasectomy. My two kids eat up way too much of my time. I'd probably have over 200 hours on my tractor by now if I didn't have small children that needed attention.

I'll second that. I'm a new tractor addict, with only 22 hrs in 5 weeks (not too bad, IMHO, considering I only put 25 hrs on my ZTR laster year mowing my little 1 acre property).

I have only one child (3 1/2), and I lose a lot of free time as a result -- esp. considering my wife works every third weekend. Unless I pay for a baby sitter, no tractor time for me on those weekends. I got up early, to try to sneak in loading my new turf tires with WWF this morning, and only got one done before the little tot woke up demanding 100% of my attention.

Also, you'll note that the sign of a true tractorhaulic, is still cruising craigslist and ebay for tractors after buying 2 tractors and a lawn tractor in the space of 2 months.

I purchased the first B7100 in mid may, the G1800S (4-wheel steer lawn tractor), and then the B7100HST two weeks ago. Yes, my wife thinks I'm crazy.

In my own defense, the first B7100 is up for sale (it is gear-drive, after 20 hrs, I wanted an HST).
