Mandatory UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) registration starts tomorrow. Those caught with an unregistered UAS after January 2016 face a $27,000 fine. ALL UASs from .55-55 pounds must be registered. This includes model airplanes, helicopters or any radio controlled device capable of flight. Registration is for the owner/pilot and not per device. A single registration number can be used on all UASs you fly. The registration number MUST be displayed on each device.

You don't have to register guns, just your toys.

Hey, it's not my regulation. You can do whatever you want. Same as paying taxes or the mandate that says you must have health insurance. The POTUS had declared it so.

Our US federal agents don't pay much attention to US Code. If a law does not exist they make one up. If they don't like a law they ignore it.

Actually, point-of-fact, Congress declared it so, POTUS signed it, and the Supreme Court affirmed it. Not that I like it....
