I've read some posts from people who have dealt with Corriher, and they were all happy with their deals. Let us know what you end up with, and remember, you MUST put up some pics! John

( JD SALESMAN SAID I COULD WAIT TILL LATE JUNE WHEN JD COMES OUT WITH THEIR NEW AERO HOOD CURVED ARM LOADER ON THEIR LRG, CHASSIS NOT ON MID-CHASSIS MODELS. )

Stop the presses ! Changes to their large chassis? I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on a 4710 ( After more then a year of research, conversations, and TBN forum stalking) and now they're changing the model? AGHHHHHHH !?!?!? What now? My property is overdue for the work I wanted to be doing this year and I can't wait 'till June. But if it's much improved, I don't want to miss out. Will it be more expensive? Will there be good incentives on the "old" 4710's? Will it be available in June, but impossible to get ? Will I have to start all over with all this reading, info gathering and forum stalking? Will Kubota have an improved model also? AGHHHHHHHHH !?!?!?!
"SPLAT" (sound of my head exploding)

STARTED OUT TO BUY A NH TC29DA FOR A SMALL TRACTOR W/ A 14LA LOADER FOR MISC

For what it is worth? I have a local Landscape Company that bought that tractor and had starting problems from day one. Had to preheat the engine before it would start. even on a 90 degree day. He has a Kioti LK3054 and Loader now.--Ken Sweet

So, back to the new Deere, dare I ask, but did it have huge bug-eye lights?!!

You said it looked good, would it make you want to wait till June? Was it green? ( /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif )

You seem to be real flexable on brands. Have you looked at Kubota? Kioti? MF? Mahindra? You might get the tractor you need in a different color. The price may be less.

For what it is worth, I don't like buying the FIRST YEAR of anything after a major redesign if there have been any real mechanical changes. A cosmetic makeover is no big deal, but if the new version of the tractor you are considering is reengineered, and you are buying one of first off the line, then you are buying something that is totally unproven. My advice would be to buy now and not regret your choice, or shop another brand. NH just introduced their new sub-compact TZ series . . . if I was in the market for a sub-cut, I would look at Kubota and Massey becuase they've both been out for a while. For large tractors, I think everything from the major brands has been out there for several years (NH has introduced cosmetic changes for 04, but the guts are the same basic machines) I feel the same way about buying cars. Wait until the 2nd year of a re-design so somebody else can deal with any reliability headaches.

I have to pre-heat the engine on my Kubota B2910 every time I start it, but it is a sweet running machine. We pre-heat our truck fleet before starting them up every morning too. What is the issue?

Sweet --
If you mean by "preheat" the engine, that he had to activate the glow plugs for a few seconds, then I agree with Bob -- what's the issue? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif That's just standard starting procedure for nearly every diesel tractor I have used. Some may eventually start without it, but they almost always start faster and run smoother if you warm the glow plugs first.

My Dodge Cummins will start on warm days without waiting on the glow plugs, but it starts better if you wait a few seconds for the "Wait to Start" light to go out -- indicating that the glow plugs have warmed up.

Interesting about the use of the glow plugs. On my TN, I've yet to use them. The tractor starts faster and better than my gas powered cars - even in the cold (if you can call 50 degrees cold).

Kevin37 I talked to the dealer again today. Ask is late June realistic to expect new tractors. He said they are attending the rollout June 3. Deere has told them the tractors will be ready for distribution at that time but will not be released until all divisions finish with the rollout. said it would not take long. Like I said he only had a third of a picture of the tractor. Yes it was green. It did slope but did not appear as steep as the NH. And the loader was curved instead of angled. Said not to expect the same treatment for the compacts or subcompacts anytime soon. Also, said the current lrg. chassis models (4510 etc.) would continue for quite a while not only during transition period. Ask him about rebates. Not sure but he would be surprised if Deere did not have a introduction incentive. He had no specs only a picture. Said they must stop losing sales to NH style.
