Hi all! I am a total noob to tractor ownership (assuming it is generally agreed that Luzhong is a real tractor...there are some prejudices out there!
). I have a 6 acre place in mid-coast NSW which is the first time I have lived on an acreage. I retired from teaching a few years ago and am enjoying the semi-rural life. I am into vegie growing and landscaping hence my tractor purchase which, so far, I am pretty happy with. My Luzhong 304 (30hp, selectable 4wd) came with a 4 in 1 FEL, grader blade, tow coupling, single-tine ripper, 5' slasher and 9" auger for around $14K Australian. I added a second-hand back-hoe from the same maker for another $2K...leaks a little but works fine. Now all I need to do is develop the skills to use these toys effectively. If there are any members from NSW who have Chinese tractors I would be interested in talking (well, texting). I want to find someone in the Taree area who can service this unit and also supply fluids (Hy-Trans or the like) at a reasonable cost. I look forward to reading the forums so I can learn a little more about making the most of my investment.
Regards to all,
Steve
