My 2003 Agco ST35 would kill the engine if you got up off the seat while the PTO was running.

I found the articles posted in this thread very usefull in explaining how the accident happened....and especially how QUICK it can happen. We had all thought it was a rare occurance.

I would not have known that chaining off the axle, mere inches higher than the draw bar (below the roll-over axis) could be life or death. I don't think it's a Darwin situation.....just a true "accident" with the ultimate consequence. The same people had probably done the same thing 1000 times before, but this time the stars did not line up in their favor. Pretty sad stories.

I don't even have a draw bar due to my backhoe....but I do have a big fat FOPS and I wear my seatbelt.
