Richard your right that's the same disc I have.

No Gman I think after looking the 4046 is exactly what I want . It's bigger than what I need but not outrageous. I really liked the way the LS was put together and my dealer 150 miles away will deliver it. Now I just have to settle with the IRS and I can make it happen I think.
If not my back is going to be sore because I'm fixing this place up regardless !

Very cool! My R4047H was a great machine, and they made some improvements with the XR series...no question it'll save your back some wear and tear :D

Ahhhh missed the snow plowing. I've got relatives in Montana so I am aware of the snow.

You didn't post on page 1....must be those pesky semantics again.

Maybe he has his Forum Settings set to show more posts per page than you do. There's no need to derail the thread by picking nits.

I think your decision to buy the LS 4046 is going to make you real happy! It will be just rightly sized for all your chores, including white powder pushing and blowing!:D Would be nice to tell us the options you took, and the implements that you decided upon. Loaded tires, and factory loader third function would be on my MUST GET at time of purchase.
We will wait a few days to see the real colour of it(ie: pics a plenty pls.)!!:tractor:

Thank you for pointing out my errors as usual Bart. I really appreciate it and don't know what I'd do without you.

I agree. It's easy in the excitement of the purchase for forget some things. I'm a hydraulic nut. 3rd function and at least 2 rear remotes. Loaded rears for sure with an FEL. Go for something non-corrosive. Cheap route is Windshield Washer fluid but you sacrifice some weight gain. Beet Juice seems to be the best choice but comes with a cost.

I'm just always amazed that Bart takes the time to check on everything I post for it's accuracy. I must be very important to him. Not sure I understand that. But, as always, he's right. My post was on page 4 but it was my first post in this thread so I should receive credit for partial accuracy at least. :)

No worries here. I'm anxious to see your progress on the property. That type of work is good for the Soul, regardless of what tractor you have.

When I bought the 20 acres I now live on it was a disaster. Totally overgrown in scrub brush and cedar trees with junk cars and scrap iron scattered everywhere. I cleaned it all up and built a house on it using an old Super C Farmall in the beginning and finishing with an old 861 Ford. I look back on that work with satisfaction and good memories. Sure there were times when I wanted more tractor. But it sure energized my initiative and creativity to get the job done.

One time I dug up and moved a 4ft square red rock. Moved it 150yds so the wife could have it by the driveway. Hitched the Ford to the rock using the 3pt. Hitched the 4wd pickup to the front of the tractor. Wife in the pickup spinning rooster tails of dirt clods past my head. Me on the tractor scratching and clawing with the front tires 2ft off the ground. Good times. Wouldn't have a story to tell if I'd had a large tractor or backhoe..... :)
