My bad. I got off of the FP forum for a reason and I'm not going back there. I deleted my post. You are entitled to your opinion. Have a great day.
Well...We'll call you 'Miss Goodie Two Shoes'...

We're mostly adults here and there are very few off topic subjects that are not influenced by politics...often skirted but also somewhat tolerated if some tact is displayed...

I.e., if no personal names (or insults etc.) or direct party affiliations are mentioned and generalities are used in place of specifics...decent, civil discussions can be had without being relegated to the armpit of the forums and I don't go there...
I don't mind pushing the window a little but I try to refrain from crossing the line but I'm not without detractors (PI)...

Unfortunately I missed the post before it was deleted. Just out of curiosity I wonder who you implied is a draft dodger?

Are you certain you have your facts straight?

Tomorrow I will be stopping by to confirm this post at the local TSC. If this is in fact true they will loose a customer.
I unlike many others will make it known at all levels of the company why my family will no longer shop there.

When it comes to the "shooting craze"...
Hate to say it but in the big picture the only thing that has changed is the availability of certain types of firearms and magazines etc...

There has always been kooks..."going postal" is nothing new...
So, you are blaming the availability of the "Evil AR-15"? Might want to look a little deeper into that, it's been around on the civilian market since 1959.

That's funny, stopping by the TSC store. Talk to the 18 year old girl, who is manager, in her tight jeans and red shirt. I like talking to her.

Of course not...don't misconstrue what I posted... I did not mention any specifics nor was I was placing blame anywhere just stating what has changed...
It's more about popularity than vintage...

When I was growing up 50's-60's...there were always ads in the back of 'Popular Mechanics, 'Sports Afield' etc., etc...for .38 revolvers and shotguns and rifles...don't recall seeing any pictures of AR's or Glocks etc., etc... but over the last couple of decades...in the sports section of most news papers there have been a multitude of ads from every mom and pop gun shops and gun show promoter for the types of firearms and accessories I mentioned...

Every week in the local fish wrap there is a couple of ads for ARs and AR components etc...this is not something that is just recent...been seeing them for years and years...almost like gas wars etc...

Another factor is technology, besides popularity and availability is information...The WWW has been around almost 30 years...it's played a big part in where "THE BLAME" actually lies...

I don't buy the camel-in-the-tent analogy one bit. If the gun lobby, NRA, etc. don't get their heads out of the sand and work with the government to come up with a fair solution to all the gun violence we've been experiencing

There is no such thing as ''Gun Violence" ... A Gun (an Inanimate object) can't commit violence anymore than a vehicle, rock, hammer, etc, etc, .

Having said that, more people are killed in vehicle accidents than people shot with guns. So, why not add more restrictions to those that purchase vehicles ?
After all. owning / operating a vehicle is a privilege
