The closest one to me in western NH is in Rutland VT, right on Route 7 on the south side of town.
But then ya gotta pay that 6% Vermont sales tax (plus 1% "local option" tax, if applicable)!!!

I say "Live Free or Die"!!! :D

Tcs in my area have a lot of all around farm supply and stuff for tractors. They have a good return policy and the price is fair. They just don't have enough help.....

We have three of them in the local area. The one closest to me is by far the best. Friendly and knowledgeable help, well stocked, and they'll gladly order non-seasonal or out-of-stock items. They'll set things aside for me until I can get back with my truck if I see the last of something when I stop by when in my car. The farthest one, near where I previously lived, is just awful. Unfriendly help that doesn't have a clue. The third one is somewhere in between. Nice people. Good stock, but cluttered.

I guess the store really depends on the manager.

Anyone have any late word on when Merrimack, New Hampshire is opening or if it has already opened???

It has a grand opening on the 15th. I drove by there yesterday and the store is full of stuff and the back lot has lots of equipmnt outside. Don't know what deals will be available on the 15th.

Let me know if you hear anything Wayne. Newspaper ads or anything like that. I've been making a list and saving my pennies! :D

So far, the TSC website doesn't even seem to be aware NH is getting a store!!!

I frequent about 5 different TSCs in my travels...they vary a lot. The smallest is near Columbia SC, 3 bigger ones are all in more rural towns, Orangeburg, Aiken, and Newberry SC. The one in Augusta GA is so-so.
Some of their stuff is good, some is cheap chinese rejects from Harbor Freight it appears:p
BTW the one near Columbia, actually in Lexington, is interesting, while all the others seem to have a mix of more mature employees with just a few younger ones, this one seems to have all very pretty, very young girls on staff..hmmmm;)

TSC just bought out the Dels feed and farm here in washington state. Dels used to have anything and everything you could want for tractors, farms, critters, whatever. they had aisles of nuts and bolts and bits and pins and a great fencing aisle....TSC bought them, remodeled the store here and got rid of all that stuff, now the only thing they sell are a couple of augers, some fencing supplys, animal feed and lots of clothes and boots. I went down to ask about cutting bits for my auger, they dont carry them and the cashier had to call corporate to ask if they could order them and she was told no, that they could give me the number for spee'co and to have a nice day. but I could get a nice pair of ariats and some dog food AND christmas ornaments. I was truly disappointed when TSC bought Dels...I am going down this week to buy a 6 or 9 inch auger, cant decide yet, fence posts are 4 to 6 inch rounds. but you can bet that I wont buy the auger at Dels/TSC. I will go somewhere else regardless of wether its cheaper or not.

One of my biggest disappointments in TSC was when they quit selling metric fasteners by the pound....they still have grade 2,5 and 8 stuff. With all the metric based tractors out there now they sure picked a stupid time to drop the metric stuff IMNSHO:(

Sounds like a each store is a little different, I just have to wait till they open to see what kind of store it will be. I do need a boom for my 3pt hitch, online its under $100 bucks, Probably junk for that price but at least if its in the store I'll be able to see it up close and personal.

Bosch, I just bought a boom pole at one of our local TSC stores for $225. They have the KK version, about 500 lb limit listed on-line for around $100, however when I went to the store they had another one, much better quality, 1,500 lb limit, CAT 1 & 2 draw pins so you can hook up either without having to fool with bushings. I am very happy with the quality. I have bought several non-mechanical things there, carry all, bale spear... etc. The prices are decent here. Their mineral feeders are cheaper and better quality than Southern States. They do carry lots of horse stuff too, but I'm in to horses so I consier that a plus. I've also bought ropes and roping dummy steer heads, saddle stands, and Wranglers there. Draw pins, carriage bolts by weight, sheer pins, log chains, ratchetting tie down straps, PTO shaft, tractor seats, chem sprayers. That wide of selection might annoy others here on TBN, but TSC is my Walmart. :) There's one in every town around central KY, Winchester, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Richmond... and I love it. Hope your store is a good one as it sounds like not all are.

My uncle is part of the Tourist Comission in our parish here in Louisiana. He said that we are supposed to be getting a Tractor Supply store, but I'm not sure when he told me where/when its gonna be. I am looking forward to it. I'll probably pitch a tent outside the night before openin' mornin'!
