Stan N, Gordon,
My truck is a 2001 so I'd guess the brake wiring harness is 'plug-in' ready. I'm going to check with my local Ford dealer today and see if I can find out.
I did a little surfing last night to the Tekonsha website and others and found wiring diagrams readily available...seems like a snap hook-up if the truck's wiring harness has a connector for the brake harnesses connector. All that would have to be found is the wire at the back of the truck to connect to the 6-way trailer connector. Anyway, I'll see what I can glean from the Ford service guys today.
I hear you about crawling around under the dash. Since I was born a size XL it's no picnic for me either...so I'm also going to ask the 'cost' of having them install it.
