Tractor web survey?

I have NOT received the survey and have my email in my profile. I also am a member of another tractor website but do not have my email in my profile there as they were constantly sending me email without a method for turning if off.

Hopefully more information will determine the cause/source.

By the way, for all of you that don't yet have a free "webmail" account at someplace like Yahoo or MSN, it is a valuable thing to sign up for. I use mine as a spam attractor! I am very careful about giving out my "real" email address, and I use the Yahoo one for anything that's at all public. It's not Muhammad's fault, it just doesn't seem possible these days to keep the spammers out of your email.

I got it, and will forward it. I did not click on the link, but I did reply (after all, the already have my email address). My reply was,

"I'm sorry. I do not open links unless the sender is someone I know well enough to trust. I don't know you."

Muhammad, if it is helpful, this is the only tractor related web site that I have ever posted my email address on. They could not have gotten it anywhere else. Good luck!

Another forum I belong to has a unique way of using e-mails. If you need to e-mail a member, you click a link to e-mail them in their profile, then fill out a simple form. You only need to type in the subject and then the message. When the person gets the message your subject will be displayed, and then after that in parenthases will read something like Courtesy of [insert name here]. Would it be possible to easily implement something like this?

Not sure if this helps or not but I did NOT get it. The e-mail I have in my profile is home (AOL). Work has some serious firewalls in place plus I do not use that e-mail for non-work stuff. Good luck in the hunt /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I received one too. Just for the record this is the only place this e-mail address is used as it is a relatively new address.

Hmmm....according to several recent (MAy 2004)newspaper stories ADL has gone bankrupt, and it's assets have been sold. I wonder if it is possible to find out who bought them. I'll check and see who owns the adl.com domain, maybe some clues there.

It must be tractor specific.

They're after the CUT owner I'd guess.

It's a shame from one perspective and reflects initiative from another.

Would it help if you posted the users' email addresses as text instead of posting them in clickable links? The amount of addresses stolen from the site would most likely decrease if they had to cut and paste each and every one.

Actually, it appears that the bankruptcy and sale(s) took place in 2002. Here is an article which discusses this, along with a listing of the divisions and buyers.
