Mith we named our New Holland Blue Thunder the day that it was delivered. I don't remember ever talking to it, may have and just don't recall, although at times when I lose my temper I have said a few choice words directed toward it. Really hope she doesn't hold a grudge. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I do think our New Holland is Italian because I swear from time to time when I'm working I hear it say, "Scendere dal mio dorso o prendere su una dieta." /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Does anyone speak Italian that can decipher for me?
( But I think talking to tractors would be a healthy thing, and I don't know why I don't, unless I do and don't know that I do, thinking that I don't...

Thanks Bill: that straightened that up for me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It basically means, "Go on a diet, or get off my back." John
EDIT: And mine is now speaking Spanish. It said yesterday, "Usted pesa más cada día." You weigh more every day! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif John

Like Henro I don't think I've ever spoken to my tractor but I have, on several occasions, used profane language directed at my computer. I am planning to name my tractor, I have a friend that does truck lettering and I've asked him to replace the name KUBOTA with HOYT CLAGWELL in honor of; well you know. I'll post some pics when I get it done. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
My Farmall H is named Mr. Haney in honor of the old sharpie from whom I bought him. My TLB is named Old Stoney after a famous backhoe I read of years ago. Cars usually don't get named until they've grown the personality that comes with mechanical maturity.
Of course, I talk to them all. How else can they know what's expected of them? Just yesterday I had to explain to Old Stoney that it didn't matter that he was up to his axles in the mud, it was time to go home.
