Thanks for the follow-up report.
I'll refer you to Post #20. You probably didn't need a battery or the trip into town with the starter motor.
Tracing the power from battery up to Ignition switch you would have found your 'chewed wires'. The headlight wire you already found was a clue.
Rats are a year-round problem.
Glad you're up & running. The hub leak is something you can do at home also.
