Not sure if I posted this one before or not. Was going through some old pictures and came across this one from a few years ago.

Wow, that was a bi load.

That's around half the price it is here!
Maine is supposed to be the most % forested state in the union, hard to understand the huge $ difference.
Even with over 700ac. of woods, I'd think hard real hard about buying my logs at that money!

Wow !! Log length wood delivered up here is about $100 a cord give or take. That is cheap.

Bush cord ??? I have heard that before. What is a bush cord. To me a cord is 4' W X 8'L X 4'H. Can be 4' bolts or split fire wood or anything else.

gg

I guess were you guys live firewood is a lot more also? Here it is $180 a cord.

My other load came today also. I think I have worked up one or close to it now. I have put 6 hours on the splitter so I hope I have done 6 cords. So now I have 2 more truck loads to work up.

Wow, that was a big load. Looks big but it was bone dry spruce. It just gets piled and burnt in the top piles so I went out and loaded up on our weekend off. That old girl actually rode half decent for once. She's got a 15 leaf main pack with a dual overload. I can't believe what you pay for your wood either. Around here a load like that would be $1200-$1600 depending on what species you were getting.

Edit: no clue why my whole post looks like a quote from you.

That is beautiful firewood. With maple syrup season just around the corner, I wanted to check how accessible the woodlot / sugarbush was. The 3 feet of snow was packed so tight I could not blow it out with my tractor so I used my ATV to check things out. The ATV broke through the crust and got stuck in 3 feet of snow 1/2 mile in the woods. Also there was hardship retrieving my ATV trailer. In this video I play a bit a classical guitar but the 6 white tail deer are the stars in this video. Some times I envy you guys with no snow.

I could listen to that guitar of yours all day long. If this forum had a sound track I would vote to have it be your guitar work. Makes my day. Thanks.

Not much wood, but I would tear up the timber if I got serious about it. I've only had the tractor for 72 hrs so far, and it's muddy and covered with horse manure when I took this wood run just for fun. The axe is kinda special too, for those that care about such things.

The axe, hum a Gransford splitting maul! Slendide! My cup of tee also...

I also did get the small Hatchet for kindling and smaller wood stove (one hand use)

Me, my axe and my new JD will spend some quality time in the timber this weekend.

I've been clearing a 1/2 acre lot. I plan on moving the Kubota SVL95 tomorrow. I'm hoping it's a bit more productive than my backhoe. Actually I've already used it some and it's WAY more productive. IMG_9373.JPGIMG_9374.JPG I pulled these with the CTL IMG_9364.JPGIMG_9367.JPGIMG_9353.JPG

Thought some of you guys might enjoy seeing these from this fall. It was wet to say the least. I have a video of the floater but loading it is beyond my limited abilities. image-2972905822.jpg image-3445603741.jpg image-2571473633.jpg image-3495277557.jpg
