2*Does everyone else?

Relative font sizes are used by PHPBB, it appears. So, people who are visually impaired will see larger fonts here if they've chosen that browser setting. So, increasing your font size isn't helping any blind tractor operators.

Eh, don't feel too bad. My wife's car has a scratch in a quarter panel from my stabilizer footpad. I thought I was being all cool squeezing through a tight fit, but I forgot (not the first time) that the widest part of my tractor is the backhoe stabilizer pads.

here(nova scotia) all road driven vehicals have to be registered.
farm tractors are a one time, no expirey plate, with FT (farm tractor)
others, including heavey equipment (backhoe, dozor, loader, excivator, forklift) that travel on the road ways have to be registered as "GT" (general tractor/truck). we have 3 farm tractors registered as so, and our backhoe, and cube van, registed as GT. all have to carry public liabilty, public disability insurance.

the insurance on our 580 case, states right in the policy, that it is only to cover us when traveling down the road. if we are working it, plowing snow with it, etc, we are not covered. that's a whole different policy, if we wanted it.

fyi, i belive the insurance on our tractors, and backhoe is about $125/tractor/year

I haven't ever seen a tractor with a license plate, but not having one doesn't make it legal. Following the crowd can get you in trouble, and when your standing in front of the judge, saying something stupid like "nobody else has a tag" is a good way to get a fine and a reply saying "nobody else was caught, except you"
