Buying Advice Trade the ZD326 for a B2601?

I personally mowed with my friends B2620 with 60" deck during the summer. It mows quite well and I was moving fast. However a lot depends on the grass. If you have very fine grass that is damp... The front tires may tend to cause tracking in the grass like shown in photos above.

My ZD a will now well no matter what. However it must have the high lift blades. Without the highlight blades it will track just as badly as the B.

Scooby, did you try high lift blades on your BX? That's the stock blades on the ZD deck.

I tried 3 diferent sets of blades on the BX. "Stock", Stock Mulch (that went with my now removed mulch kit that never worked right, supposed to be high lift) and Oregon Gator G6 blades (high lift mulchers). Best cut was with the Gator Mulchers and no mulch kit.

Im running Kubota High Lifts on the ZD. Actually all that is available from Kubota now for the ZD are what used to be the optional high lifts. They no longer offer a standard lift blade for the ZD AFAIK.

Just throwing out an idea you might not have thought of but maybe a large finish mower behind your L. I'm not sure how wide you could go but I'd think at least 8'? Probably like has already been discussed not going to give a great cut but might be fairly quick pulling a larger deck.

I own a BX with a 60" deck and also get the front wheels mashing down the grass. Depending on the grass length and how damp it is its not too bad but I usually just mow in a different direction every couple of times. In other words if I normally mow north and south, mow east and west to help reduce the striping effect.
