I should clarify before someone get bet out of shape. The JD 1023E is in between the BX1880 and the BX2380 in regards to pto hp. I say it should be compared to the BX1880 because the BX1880 is a slightly de-spec'ed model (no drive over deck and standard seat) like the JD 1023. I also stated that all the BX80 are deluxe and clearly the BX1880 is not truly a deluxe model.

Fear not Texas Fella, I ended up with a 2380. Found a dealer that was serious with discounts, and got it *cheaper* than the 1023E, and within $200 of the LS. No-brainer at that point. The only reason I was comparing the two was based on price, as the more feature-comparable 1025R was even more money yet. It's the whole green price premium thing, which if quotes had stayed where they were, the 1023 was a good value.

At any rate, 5 hours on the BX, absolutely love it.

Congrats! They are a fun tool that punches above it's 'weight' for sure.

I know I shouldn't even be asking this question at the risk of opening up the possibility of a trade... but is the B series have a much higher C of G than the BX? I'm operating on some serious slopes and irregularities like the little boulders that are growing out of the ground!

I've had several of both. The earlier B7500 and B7510 had rear wheels and axle ends that would allow flipping wheels outward for real assistance with widening the track. That helped in tipping. I feel the BX is more planted, but it is the feel. The weights of the lower end B's are very close to the weight of the BX's, but the seat sits up higher (not much if measured), and the wheelbase is longer on the B's. I ran my B7510 up on a hill sideways at the acceptable limit of an inclinometer I had mounted, and hopped off. At 6'-5" and 260#, I pulled as hard as I could to get the tractor to "get light", and no matter how hard I pulled, it wasn't going anywhere. I quickly adjusted my pucker factor, and never worried again. The entire B feels more stable to me, but it's the minimal rise in the seat height that plays games with your puckerometer. With a loader, I'll take a B for stability over the BX any day.

Still using my BX2370. Dealer has the 2380 completely set up with everything I wanted, but is still waiting for the grapple to arrive, so it's not ready for me to take home. Will post updates when I get it.
