Trailer big enough for 50HP tractor? Quick sanity check

Mace, there are hundreds of trucks on the road this time of year towing in the 20-25k GCWR range with 3/4 tons and no trailer brakes.

I have yet to hear of in school kids or old ladies smeared on the blacktop yet.

It's plain to see you are just an accident waiting to happen, the only question is when and it's a true wonder you haven't caused many already. Wait until you do and get sued for everything you own...then you can talk about bankruptcy.

We'll the gooseneck and big truck is almost always loaded...

Besides.... if we had high dollar tow rigs we'd just them heavy too and that would be dangerous.......

Those of us who grew up with farming as a way of life and not a hobby used as an excuse to buy a toy toted as a tractor know how to use what we have and do it safely.

I am currently struggling with this now also. We have a 4025 mahindra, fel and brush hog. Our current 16' trailer with 2500# axles, no brakes will not work.
I have been scouring Craigslist and trailer shops for the best deal on a 20' with brakes. I found a really good deal on a pintle hitch with 12000# axles. My dad said it would be too much trailer, for what we have to haul.
We drive safe hauling loads, but I guess I just worry about going down the hiway on a rainy day, and some idiot cuts me off.
