trailer question

   / trailer question #11
Not sure how big the tractor itself is compared to my 3720, but I'm at 20' with my 3720 and depending what implements I carry I'm hanging over. Typically just the tail wheel on the MX.

Like frencht points out additional length is really handy to tune tongue weight.

My 2305 with the blower and the ballast box including the rear quickhitch comes to 14'. The FEL is actually a little shorter if I recall right. Henri

   / trailer question #13
Depending on the weight distribution of the equipment, a longer trailer may provide better flexibility for positioning equipment to arrive at appropriate trailer tongue weight ratios etc. Although my trailer comfortably handles the weight and length of my equipment, I have a hard time getting 10-15% tongue weight...a longer trailer would alleviate the problem.

I find that to be a very valid point when moving my 110 with cab but not much of an issue with the x749 or a 2305. For those using a light truck or car the balance issue and loading can make a big difference.
