Unfortunately, the "move" isn't across town. Its out-of-state.
On the up side, I went to check a buddy's trailer yesterday. Its a vehicle/equipment trailer with a mostly unobstructed deck, aside from the wheel wells (no top rails, just deck and front headacke rack about 14"). The wheel wells are right at 82" apart, however there is about 5' of deck and dovetail behind them that is clear.
The down side is it needs some work. They are starting in to rewiring it today. I'm not sure how far they will get with it, but as a last resort I could get some "portable" trailer lights to get some tail and turn signals on it.
The frame and suspension are OK. I totally gutted mine last year - it had some cracked springs and the bolts were pretty deteriorated so it got all new springs, hangers, bolts, etc. All but the frame mounts and spring mounts on the axles (welded on and werent bad). My buddy's trailer is in way better shape than mine was (before the suspension replacement).
If his trailer works out it would make loading the tractor a piece of cake - a simple winch on, chain down, and go.
