I'm looking to get a trailer for hauling my 7510 with loader and rotary cutter. It looks like I need a 20' trailer based on my quick measurements.

Does 20' sound like the right size?

I don't know how long your equipment measures but I would add 2 feet for future expansion and be able to move your load to get perfect balance.
I was looking for a 22 trailer, I found a 25 foot, I am in trailer heaven, this trailer is huge and I love it.
Jim:)

i carried my b7510 with fel and bush hog on a 16ft trailer with the bucket over the front rail. i also used a 20ft which was way overkill but had plenty of room. an 18ft would have worked for me well. just get one with ramps not a gate. that way the rear wheel on the cutter can hang off the back if needed.

A 16' trailer with ramps is plenty for your current set-up. I have a 2410 which is the same chassis and I haul it all the time on a 16' trailer. Whatever little bit might extend off a 16' trailer is insignificant. I can't imagine why you'd want to have to jockey more trailer than you need. If you get a bigger set-up, get a bigger trailer, it will probably be the least expensive part of your upgrade.

It looks like after I went and remeasured that a 18' trailer will work fine...... now to go shop around for the best deal..... almost as fun as tractor shopping!

I have a 7510 with a box blade and FEL. I tow a 20ft PJ trailer and it has 2 x 5500lb axles with electric brakes on each one.

There is plenty of room behind the tractor (2ft) and lots in front (2-3) to the point where I could take another implement with me if I needed to.

Make sure you have enough truck to pull the trailer/tractor combo too. I use an 02 F250 7.3 powerstroke with a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller. Probably overkill, but I don't worry about anything when towing. I could add another 5k lbs and would still be ok.

Thanks, I have my 97 F250 7.3 Powerstroke that I will use to pull the trailer with, don't think it will be a problem.

I have a B-2910 with loader & 5 foot rotary cutter that fits fine on an 18' trailer. See photo attached.

Stu, I didn't notice your screen name before but it makes sense now!

He's a diesel-head, I'm thinking. :D

Stu-Stroker, an 18' carrier will suit your needs. Two 3500 lb axles will suffice, but for a few dollars more, I'd look at the 5200 lb. (each) axles. You'll acquire a better resale feature with that to offer, if you decide to change carriers.

Except to a TN State Motor Vehicle Trooper. They do not allow that here. No Sir.... :)

So in TN you can't haul things that hang a little off the back of a trailer? Like lumber off the back of a tailgate of a pickup or trailer? Like a boat motor off the back of a boat trailer? That seems strange to me. You see it all the time in the Northeast. The truth is I think a 7510 with a 4' bush hog would fit pretty easily on a 16' trailer. The OP appears to have already bought an 18.

with no loader. not with.

been there, done that, got the bumper dents from turning too sharp with the bucket resting on the tongue. that was the only way the full width gate would shut with my B7510, LA302 and 4ft bush hog.
