Hi,

I've been following this thread for the past few days. Thankfully, you're still in one piece and the settlement isn't going to be as bad as it could have been.

I'd like to Thank You for posting the details about this somewhat embarrasing accident. Your experience certainly got my 'attention', and it's something that I hopefully won't soon forget.

WHEW - I thought I was guessing high at $6600.
I also would like to thankyou for posting this and putting up with our jokes.
This was an extremely informative thread and with more to come.

Doesnt the b3030 use a similer loader? Maybe you could move up to a premium tractor and use your old loader and save some money. I have a b3200 and though I really like it I am not overly impressed with the way the loader twist when working it. I think it would be better if it was mounted on a wider stance on the tractor frame.

OK, I ALMOST WIN, I ALMOST WIN, I ALMOST WIN, NOW what do I get?

and everybody scoffed at my early $10,000 guess ... so whose scoffin' now ladies!? [crickets]

I think you did win. That price is the insurance estimate. The bill has not been presented with taxes, shop supplies, actual costs and labor overruns. We may see another grand tacked on before the saga is done.

I was thinking the same thing. They always find more damage when they tear into anything that is wrecked.

Here are some additional pictures now that a few things have been stripped. The dealer quoted the replacement to be a b3300 because it was actually cheaper than the b3200. The main difference between these two models is the b3300 doesn't have a mid pto like my b7800 did but it does have 3 more HP. I was a little upset with the dealer because they quoted the tractor with loader after trade in at $15920. I questioned what the trade value of mine was and they said $1500. I would think the loader alone would be worth that. My guess is that they are taking the $9000 repair estimate and adding this $1500 to have invested a total of $10500. I understand that math but also believe that some of the bent up parts could be salvaged if someone didn't need a parade tractor and could live with some missing paint.

Ok, after that rant, I don't think that any of those numbers are going to matter because my policy is capped at $10000 (fortunately I had an amendment over the standard $2500). Unless I am missing something, it looks like this one is getting fixed. Now I have to meet the assessor on Tuesday and see what he decides to do.
Jeff

I now have the final piece of information on this topic. The adjuster has now seen the tractor and I spoke with him today. The insurance will pay replacement or repair cost which ever is cheaper. So, the final outcome is that they are cutting a check payable to me for $8513.75 plus the cost for the estimate. This equates to the repair cost minus my deductible.

My plan is to repair on the necessary items to get the tractor in perfect working order and not repair any of the cosmetic items. I can then see the couple of dents along with the hole in the seat as a reminder to my mistake and to be more careful. I am hoping by doing this, my repair bill will be about 3000-4000 dollars less. This will help with the future increased premium costs.

My dealer orders parts on Fridays so I am hoping to be back on the seat within the next two weeks.
