I hope your going to wear gloves, hardhat, goggles, hearing protection, and steel toe boots when you operate that saw!:p

sorry, couldn't resist.

I've got a bunch of tree tipping to do myself and I've never done it, so keep up the pics, I'm learning.

I think I have a spring out there in the woods near one of the two trails. This picture is of my North trail (facing West when picture taken), which I was told is ussually dry enough for a four wheel drive truck. The rest of the area is so dry I raise dust clouds with the tractor. I've been using this trail since the 100' section of the southern trail became completely impassable. I drive in about 500' Then halfway across the lot to the south then back west up the southern trail to work on drainage and land clearing.

These are pictures from last Friday's episode with the backhoe. The pin was about half out. Luckily I found the missing cap/bumber that goes over it in the trail the next day. shoulda bought a lottery ticket that day, five minutes before that I found a logging chain I had been looking for off and on for over a week.

This is proof, there really are some things on machinery that should be checked every day.

Yesterday I suffered a major setback that will jeapordize my chances of planting pumpkins this year in the area I clearing. A stump from an "untippable" tree jumped into my path as I was backing up and damaged the hydraulic oil filter mounting bracket, tore a hose, and almost tore off the filter oultet tube. THe first picture is the suspect, the next is where the tractor stopped (note fresh sawdust behind it, the suspect was quickly given a fari trial and executed. I felt better after that.) The next picture is the filter outlet tube before I removed it. The last two pictures are the pile of parts I removed.

I shortened a pair of home made pallet forks last week for moving logs, They lasted about an hour before I bent one on something immovable trying to drive it under a log. The second got bent shortly after that becuase I didn't take them off before pushing the next tree down (1st pic). I did get some more clearing done yesterday (2nd pic) , but it was a one step forward, two back kind of day.
On the step forward side, the friend I hired to do some more digging started yesterday, He is making fast progress and if this dries the lawn up some, maybe I will plant the pumpkins at the back of the lawn for this year(3rd pic). It's already worked up!

I made those last two posts in the wrong order. The tractor breakdown happened around 3:00 pm, after the loader forks bent and every thing else.

Parts are going to be shipped overnight to my house, thanks in no small part to LawallsTractors. He helped me out after a disappointing encounter with my local dealer this morning.

The filters and hose arrived today. The bracket still needs to be straightened, then everything can go back together.

Getting close to moving the Mahindra again. I have started a thread about the issues I am having with the hyd system since refilling over in the Mahindra forum. I also have to deal with a flat tire. The slow leaker on the front must have ended up parked just right and it lost most its air in two days.
