Hiya, we're a csa here in Bristol, using a venerable bcs 737. Is anyone aware of an attachment that can dig a narrow trench suitable for burying 20mm black water pipe, ie narrow and around 30cm deep?

other option would be to use the rotary plow since you only need it under the surface.

I've rented a self propelled walk behind trencher numerous times, it did a trench 6"x18" at over 100' feet per hour, in hard rocky ground. Take small 6" bites, (multiple passes). Well under $100/day.

When I worked for Bell Telephone, we used a vibratory plow instead of a trencher. We used it to install black water pipe for later use as conduit for underground wiring.

Unlike a trencher, the plow made very little surface damage. On most jobs, you couldn't tell any work was done.

Many rental yards have them at reasonable rates. Unless you do a lot of work like this, it might be cheaper to rent rather than buy an attachment.
