Two weeks ago yesterday I contacted the MSP and gave them the go ahead. I had not heard back from them and contacted their office yesterday where I spoke to another Trooper who was vaguely familiar with the situation. We had a great conversation; turns out his family owns a HUGE blueberry farm on the West side of the state. Anyway, I left my cell number for the Trooper and haven't heard back from him yet.
The process, as I understand it, is this: Trooper swears out warrant; evidence is reviewed by the prosecutor's office; appropriate charges are applied; subject is notified and I'm not sure what happens next. I have a client who works for a judge in the same county and spoke with her yesterday as well. She indicated that it is very normal for these things to take a fair amount of time as precedence is given to more serious matters, and understandably so.
I will update the thread as soon as I have anything to report. Let's hope something happens before next season rolls around.

I know both Troopers that I have spoken with enjoy target shooting and plan on inviting them both over tomorrow evening when we start slinging lead.
