Tried the neighbors blue tractor

You gotta love John Thomas. He makes me feel ok about owning 3 Kubotas at the same time. I bought my first in 1984, a B5200. Never thought about buying another brand after that one.

I would never think about going on another forum dissing their tractor of choice like some do here.

I personally dont see a need to dis any tractors regardless which forum your in. Its one thing to point out what you like/didnt like or why you choose one brand over another but to just talk bad about any brand for no real reason just seems wasteful. Even in the kubota forum you have members and dealers that own other brands in addition to kubota. So even if someone thinks their ok because their in their own forum it doesnt mean you dont risk offending other owners still.

:laughing:These pissing matches are always so much fun.:D I guess because I have/had so many Kubotas I can rant here to. Are Kubota's great machines...you bet...do they have failings....yep. They are without a doubt on the light side and that would be my biggest complaint. They are well engineered for the most part and well built. But as has been said before there are other makes out there of equal value. I have NH, JD, AC, IHC Case machines in the over 50hp and up range and I like all of them. And all of them have there problems.
I picked Kubota for the small stuff because mostly I have 3 dealers in 30 min drive and I found it advantageous to keep them all the same make.

Former orange owner turned blue.

I initially went with Kubota because I worked for Bobcat, (the manufacturer, not a dealer) and was familiar with the engines and quality. Bought a bx1850 and suffered with the abrupt reverse stop issue. Tractor could do all the work I wanted it to, but it took awhile. I have lots of snow removal.

Unfortunately, my local Kubota dealer sucks. All my frustrations were due to poor customer service. I started to look around at L's and Boomers and Massey's. The Kubota dealer didn't seem to want my business and the NH dealer made me a great deal on a T2220 w/supersteer. I now wonder how I ever got by without supersteer. :D Their service has also been top notch.

I do prefer my Shibaura built Boomer to the new LS ones.

Buddy has a 2005? Boomer 45D. Nice tractor, but I like mine better. What I really like about the NH Boomer 45D is the high/low hst pump function on the FEL control lever. Philip.

2005 45DA. Don't forget about the awsome supersteer front axle too! :) You do have a very nice tractor Phil
