Could you be thinking of the Boeing C-97 or 337, with 2 decks? Or C-124
Bruce
Thanks for that. I knew there was one but could not brign it up out of the memory fog.

Ah Shucks, that was too easy.
How about some of you folks asking a few questions.
Who discovered America. Note: Trick question.:laughing:
The British Mosquito preformed many different roles in WW2.
Fighter, bomber, Photo Recon. I think it was also the fastest plane in WW2, although the P-38 wanted to go supersonic in a dive.
What was the unusual role it played???
Before jet planes & even for a long time after a propeller plane held the Stop to 10,000 feet record.
What was it??
Largest plane ever powered by the 4360 was the b-36 What was the smallest ???
Did this get answered yet?
Would it have been the F2G "Super" Corsair?
Can't imagine that engine in anything smaller than a Corsair!

After many football fields were covered with Astro Turf, what had been a rare injury be came fairly prevalent.
What would that be???

Missile toe?
Knee injuries... more specifically possibly a torn acl?
You're referring, of course to turf toe? That would be my guess also.
XC-99
They built & installed a "Nuclear Reactor" to test the possibility of Nuclear powered aircraft.
Thankfully it did not work out for AC.
But did work out for and was installed in What????
There are several kinds of Jet engines Ram jet (V-1) On & on.
A newer type of jet has been produced & tested that can power a plane to over 7,000 MPH????:anyone:
???:confused3:Anyone going to guess who designed a lot of the nose art of WW2
I believe that Disney was involved in that to some extent and maybe Walter Lanz of Woody Woodpecker fame. Some were simply the creation of talented service men who plied their trade on the nose of available aircraft.
