Think , On an anonymous website she might be a he ?

You're correct, grumpy. I could be. But I'm not. Born a female and remained one all of my life. Can't imagine being anything else.

What was the original name of "Hover" dam????

It has 17 generators, each 1 puts out how much power??

Where does most of the power generated go?? No it's not Las Vegas.

Most of the power goes to California, and second most to the State of Nevada. The city of Los Angeles gets more than the ciry of Las Vegas, I believe. I think the "contract" has been reworked and goes into affect in a few years, but figure the top 3 "beneficiaries" of the power will stay pretty much the same.

Not sure how much power each generator puts out. I am pretty sure the dam did not come in under budget and time, at least in my mind, with so many lives lost building it, it can't be considered under budget. Not sure what the "stats" show though.

$$$ Wise it came in under budget. It was also finished ahead of time. I don't remember the death toll. But it was less than it was though to occur.
The head contractor was "Kaiser" and the dam spawned (at that time) the largest health care system in the us. Although started in AZ, it is no longer available here.

I recall from a documentary I saw a couple years ago, that the original name for the dam was intended to be "Hoover". Roosevelt, however, for political reasons, objected strenuously and the name was changed to "Boulder". As fate would have it, the name was again changed back to "Hoover".

Kaiser, Contributed to 1 or 2 other things that helped the US & England win WW2.
What were they???
Are there any of them left???

Fibers and twine were first used 30,000 years ago thread has only been around for a few thousand years

Correct. Early days would have been all leather thong and sinews from animals. I suppose twisting plant fibers together or braiding them could be called "thread" but even those came after leather thongs and sinews.

You folks are doing good.

Kicked a safe. There was a tragic outcome of him kicking the safe. Know what??
Farm Girl, yep nailed it. Abe went along with it for a while, even attended the sessions. The Psychic was a proven charlatan. Abe kicked him out, Mary snuck out to see him, until hie disappeared.

New questions.
The Air Force had a 3 engine (Piston) transport up to 1960. Know what it was??

Who is responsible for the current color scheme on Air Force 1. ????

Ford Trimotor? A bit late for that but I knew of a couple flying in Idaho still in the mid 50s.
