Which tank during WW2 was considered the best??

This one is pretty tough, as it is a matter of opinion. The PanzerKampfwagon V or known as the Panther was one heck of a tank, as were the so called TIGER 1 and Tiger 2, but with some shortcomings in the weight and reliability department. The biggest advantage of these tanks were the 88MM main gun and the excellent sighting system for it. But some reviewers actually favor the Russian T34 for its speed, its Christie designed (American designer) suspension, and simplicity of its engine and systems and use of sloped armor. I don't think anyone thinks our Sherman was the best tank, with its propensity to catch fire when the German 88 shells whistled right thru it, but we made so darn many of them and even gave them to our friends(british) to use too!

Today most so called experts consider the T34 the best. Its sloped armor made 4 inches like 6 inches & it also deflected the German 88s.

A lot of planes are called "Widow Makers".
2 Counter parts during WW2, 1 called a widow maker & the other considered safer. But the opposite was proven true.
What were they???

The Super Rocket and 441 Victor were motorcycles produced by BSA, the Birmingham Small Arms company.

I seem to recall the term widowmaker applied to the A-26, I believe, a twin engine aircraft that resembled the Mitchell bomber with a conventional tail.

The "widow maker" tag was most often applied to the Martin B-26. It was designed to be fast and maneuverable, but proved to be a bit too "hot" for the young pilots that had to fly it. With some mods, it became the safest and most reliable twin engine bomber (American) bomber of WWII. The A-26 became the B-26 after WWII and served with distinction in Vietnam.

Burple, or Thermal

Rhymes with purple?
Had to look up if Burple was a word. Discovered it's a made up product name, I guess technically it qualifies as rhyming. I've never heard of it, what years was it made? Supposedly the bottle could be converted into a squirt gun.
Thermal?? Jury's out on that one.
I always heard nothing rhymes with 'purple'. Closet I ever got was the conjunction of 'syrup' & 'will'. As in: "The syrup'll run off your pancakes ."

Rhymes with 'purple'? Maple Surple. (according to Roger Miller anyway.)
Dang Me - Roger Miller Lyrics

Well here I sit high, gettin' ideas
Ain't nothing but a fool would live like this
Out all night and runnin' wild
Woman sittin' home with a month old child

CHORUS:
Dang me, dang me
They oughta take a rope and hang me
High from the highest tree
Woman would you weep for me.

Just sittin' around drinkin' with the rest of the guys
Six rounds bought, and I bought five
Spent the groceries and half the rent
Like fourteen dollars and twenty seven cents.

(CHORUS)

They say roses are red and violets are purple
Sugar is sweet and so is maple surple
Well I'm the seventh out of seven sons
My pappy was a pistol
I'm a son of a gun.

(CHORUS)

I was aware, even in the first grade, that Burple was the color of a belch from any number of domestic bovines.

You guys forget the infamous "Purple Nurple" from when you were a kid? You could give them to some guy you didn't particularly like and nothing would be said about it but give one, just one, to some girl and you never heard the end of it!
