trommel

hello all,

allenr... yes I used 1 inch welded mesh throughout (5 ft. long) and overlaid 1/2inch mesh (very fine wire) over the first half to get three sizes of product.

What a great idea. I have never seen a multi stage trommel.

Did you have to experiment with different tilt angles at all?

Hello Ledge End, Re angle.

No , No science involved. I just built it with equal legs on a flat slab of cement(easiest) Then I added the wheels knowing I could always lop a bit off the
other legs if needed.(or dig a hole) (or use some bricks) I'm sure different product would need different angles. One strange thing, some of the bigger pieces actually work their way to the High end and fall out, this must be a bit like a flat belt drive travelling to the high point.

Regards Vince.
