truck info wanted

If you read what he said, it states he wants to tow "20 to 25,000 pounds, plus trailer weight". Last I checked, even a cheap trailer rated at 10-13 tons capacity was a good 5-6k lbs empty. Now your talking about 25k-30k lbs total, your not going to haul that behind an F-450. :laughing:

Yes, I miss read it. I though he was wanting to tow 20,000# to 25,000# total.

In that case you are going to need a bigger truck than a 4500 series. The guys are right, its 5500 and up territory. Its looking more like a Volvo or International is what you are going to need.

Yup, the sure do. Here's my IH-4800. I think it's a "real truck". Maybe DP can give me the opinion on my IH. I already know my GMC-3500 doesn't qualify.
First picture is from '07. 2nd picture is last summer while installing a driveway. I added Alcoas to the rear wheels.

I see large utility trucks with crew cabs as well as large tow trucks. stock cab firetrucks also come in a crew cab. Ive seen some large utility trucks in 4x4 as well as firetrucks.

so yes the platform is out there... just have to find it. (check the western states for 4x4)

there is a place right off the interstate in cape Girardeau, MO that always has a lot full of commercial trucks a quick google search found this in his inventory

It's "real", too.

I actually had to use my "not real" truck to pull the "real truck" out of the mud once last summer. Can you believe the "not real" truck didn't break pulling it out of the mud? The "real" truck was fully loaded, too.

Thanks guys! I did a google search and looked at some of the online truck papers and the only one I could find was a few Chevys that were way out of the price range.
