I hear this all the time and unfortunately you are mis-informed.

The fram XG and even the TG filters are top of the line and rate right up there with the best of the best in several independent tests.

Sure, there low end filter isn't up there on quality and I wouldnt use a standard fram PH series. As with many other things, one company (fram) makes many different levels of quality. You get what you pay for. A $3 filter is just that. Their TG and XG filters are ~$10, and compare well with all the other higher end filters out there.

So do your homework and stop bashing fram all-together and just repeating what is said so many times on the net about fram making a crappy filter.

On another note, even the worst and crappy filters sold meet or exceed OEM specs. So what does that say about that OEM AC Delco. Ford, Dodge or the other manufactures filter????

My 2011 Silverado with 5.3 runs to about 7,600 to 8,100 before it calls for a oil change. Most of my driving is around town. My wife who does highway driving gets 10,000 to 11,000 before the light comes on. Makes sense for the combustion events trigger.

Yep, bash whatever you want. I'll treat you as such......an un-informed poster that just repeats what he hears someone else say. Personally, I'll do my research and form my own opinion rather than be a follower and try to spread bad information.

I like using NAPA gold oil filters. Anything wrong with them???? I have never had a oil filter fail on me out of all the different brands I've used but I always changed oil when I was supposed to.

Not in my book. They are what I use on my truck, fuel filters for the BH, trans filter for the backhoe. Same as a wix
