Are they gonna total it or are you still negotiating with your insurance company.

Fortunately, I was able to buy a new truck before the insurer threatened legal action against Chevrolet. Other wise I might have had to get a Ford, or something.

Actually, USAA sent me a handsome check. At my brother's insistence, I sent it back, which was no doubt a mistake on my part. In due course, they will send another one less 15% for salvage. In the meantime, my brother entertains onlookers by driving it around. The driver's seat's a bit cramped, but everything works.

That I would have loved to see. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Phew! Glad someone learns from my experiences - some days I wish it were me /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I thought it might be drivable. Just apply a bit of pressure treated here and there and you've got an instant flatbed conversion. Or maybe a rollback PT hauler - the first on the block!

A while back, Bubenberg, who is better at seeking out great toys, er, equipment, than anyone else I know, got me on the phone with these guys:

With their setup, on my custom lowboy truck, and another of theirs on a trailer, I could definitely ride to the poor house in style.

Man oh man, you guys all crack me up!

After all these months, and being a PT425 owner, I'm feeling like this is just one big family! We sit around and tell stories about Sedge's fire, Charlie's truck, and more... What strange experiences!

Sincerely,

-Rob /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Charlie,

I really don’t see the problem. Where I’m from, we’d put on some new chrome wheels to draw your eye away from the blemishes and call it good. At worst, maybe we would paint the truck with flat gray primer to make the new wheels stand out more.

I think I have about half a can of flat gray from a couple of years ago. It doesn't matter if not all the truck gets painted, does it? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think, customarily, you primer the cab or the bed, but never both. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I thought it was the hood or one fender and the tailgate

Depends which corner you start at, how many are brushing, and where the can runs out. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I must have a few old brushes that didn't get cleaned yet from last time.

Let me know if you need any,
Sedgewood
