Trying to compare dump trailers

Kind of reminds me of one of the local gate makers in my area. He sold out his operation and opened another right next door. Being the buyer of the old operation was not a corporation, I expect that had to hurt. But, they both seem to be thriving even in this economy.

Good thing most any trailer can be kept "alive" no matter the heritage.

Be careful how hard you jack those axles with a load on them and you should be good to go. As for the gate, you may have found situations where the swing gates don't work so well. Just sayin'.

Well, at times, The gate is a problem . It's not that difficult to remove so, I probably will just leave it.. It has a 12K pay load per the manufacture. I have hauled 7 tons ,but have to assist the dumping. It had surge brakes. I installed electric. I hated those surge brakes

Well, I didn't get a tarp or roller. Mine was used. I paid $3000.00 for it. guess I got a good deal. I've been offered my $$ back several times..... It has some type of dexter torque axles ? (I think that's what their called) No springs on the Axles. My tail gate only opens to the side It doesn't flip up like a dump truck

I'd say you did alright. The tarp roller is nice, but definitely not a deal breaker. You can always just tarp & bungee for pretty cheap.
As far as the tailgate, mine splits in the middle like barn doors as well as the dump truck style. So I usually open them to the side like you mention to dump. I'll usually do any material spreading with the skid steer so I like a higher, more compact pile anyway.

Check out B Wise trailers. The guy (Brian) is the original Bri (an) Mar owner, sold it and it went down hill, at least this is what I've been told. He is now back in bus. in Chambersburg PA. building these B Wise trlrs. I told a friend about them and he just orderded and recieved it (dump trailer) and is very pleased with it. They do some kind of "bath" of the steel before it is powder coated and it has a very good warranty on the finish & trlr. in general. I think my buddy said 2yrs on the finish & 5 on the trlr. They also only sell through dealers only.

In the Fall of 2013 Bri-Mar became part of BWise Manufacturing, LLC. Bri-Mar Trailers and BWise Trailers are now built at the same facility on Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg.

They also offer a Refurbishment Program for ANY brand of trailer: Factory Refurb - Bri-Mar

Sold my 14k PJ low pro the other day. I have a 14k LAMAR being built as we speak. That PJ was a not good example of what they are capable of building. My last PJ worked flawlessly for 10 yrs. I'm looking forward to picking up the LAMAR before Xmas.
