good morning...
twice in the last 30 years i have had identity problems and it took a long time to get the issue corrected...
once, about 30 years ago, a bill collector came to my door looking for a person with the same name as mine about a $1000 bill from a doctor in houston, well i had never been to that doctor and didn't even know the address of the office or anything else. about 3 months later, we got it fixed with the collection agency....
last year i go to do a mortage on a home and find out that all of the credit reporting companies have me living in Pa. and a credit card that had not been paid on in over a year...well, here we go, two law firms and the cc company later, my atty suggested i reach a settlement with cc company(the cost of an investigation would be half of the cost of a new Cut)and the other law firm has got two of the three credit reporting co's to correct the Pa. issue. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
so now when the ask for and I D some where, I'm exteremly cautious.....theft of identification is big business, and rarely put ANY ID on the internet.....
I WOULDN"T WISH THIS SITUATION ON ANYONE>>>>>
good luck,
