That's how ive done it with my 422.

JJ is correct -- at least on my older style 425. As long as I can get the timbers behind the hydraulic tank, it'll tilt forward enough to get the back wheels off the ground. I've done it more than once...

Another added benefit of doing this is that it essentially prevents trying to balance the rear of the PT on the head of a jack, while the PT is trying to oscillate on you. This solidly lifts both sides, without it "wobbling" from side to side...

That's true too. When i went to change the back tire, i didn't even try to use a jack because it seemed like it would be pretty unstable. I could just imagine the jack shooting out from under the PT.
