Tires Tubes in front tires

I just went out and looked. The tube stem is on the outside of the rim. I could not see the inside tubeless stem, so I felt around and found it hanging on by a thread. Apparently, it was torn long ago. So it appears we left the inner stem in as a plug and now that the outside has torn off, the inside of the stem is still plugging the hole. Works fine. I may tube the other one if leaks continue on that tire.

I searched and found a post back in March of 2005 where I mentioned that I had tubed the tire earlier, so it has been at least 3 and a half years.

I've also used the lift arms to essentially "jack up" the back of the PT. I lifted the front as far off the ground as I could, put timbers underneath the belly-pan as far back as I could, wedging them in, and then let the front end down. The PT tilted forward, and I was able to get the rear tires a couple inches off the ground...

I wonder if we can do this with the 1850's? I can lift the front, but not sure if hte back would follow suit but it is a killer idea....

That is a neat trick. I had been using the bucket to lift of the front, but your idea is really ingenious.

That's a pretty good life. I was driving the PT over rough ground with 20 psi in the front tires and it was really rough. This is hard on me and the wheel motor bearings. I think I will try 15 PSI and order the Gempler per JJ's suggestons.

With a better seal I can probably do that.

I believe that all the PT's should be able to do that. It's like the see-saw effect. If you can raise the front wheels off the ground about 6 to 10 in, you then you place a piece of a 8x8 or larger under the hydraulic tank and then let the front down. If you have more weight on the front, then it will raise the back wheels.
