I think what Scooby074 said is probably correct... they are all the same anyway, regardless of what "tuff" says.

I'm not sure I believe that 100%. I've seen this same problem happen with other companies and items.

Also, my item I ordered from Tuff did in fact ship from Colorado (verified by tracking #) where as the others maybe are getting shipped from over seas. So unless Tuff is pre-ordering these lights from China and stockpiling them in a Colorado warehouse, I don't believe they are identical.

Look where they are made when you get them... I bet you'll be surprised. Hopefully I am wrong.

For that matter start looking at a lot of things you assumed were made in USA. An american company certainly doesn't mean it's made here.

I believe that is exactly what is happening.

Its a bit rich for a retailer to be complaining about chinese knockoffs, when his product itself is not only the made by the same Chinese plants, but is likely a rip off of a North American or European design in the first place!

Besides reading online reviews of the product (forums etc), chinese hardware (screws, brackets, castings etc), plating and electric (wires, plugs, loom etc) has a certain "look". Hard to explain but I usually can spot which items are imported from china even on items that technically meet the classifications for, and are sold as, made in USA.

I looked on my Tuff LED boxes the lights came in and it says made in PRC, which I assume stands for Peoples Republic of China.

There are no LED manufacturing facilities in Colorado. For that matter there are few if any large scale high tech manufacturing plants of any kind here. There are lots of small high tech firms around, thing is making LEDs isn't something that's done on a small scale

PRC = Taiwan
