Tuff LED light on sale at Amazon

Just to follow up, my Tuff LED Lights arrived on Friday and I installed them yesterday. The box said "made in china". There was no warranty info provided with the lights so I'm probably SOL if one blows out early (not sure what "early" is for an LED - 10 yrs? LOL). Anyway, I tend to agree with those saying these lights are probably all made in the same factory in China and just sold through numerous distributors, one of which is Tuff LED Lights that provides an additional warranty. Would have bought those if I could and if the price was the same or close. I just think Amazon links to the supplier who has stock and has the next best price, again as others have stated. As of now, I'm happy with my new LED lights. Much brighter than my old 35 watt halogens.

Look where they are made when you get them... I bet you'll be surprised. Hopefully I am wrong.

For that matter start looking at a lot of things you assumed were made in USA. An american company certainly doesn't mean it's made here.

Looks like you were correct mike. Just got my lights in and they say "made in P.R.C". Pretty disappointed but for the price, I'm not upset.

I got these lights from Amazon and put them on my RTV front and rear. What a difference. I don't use the HID upgraded headlights anymore. I even bought more for the BX and skid steer. Bang for the buck they are great. Just paint the mount brackets before installing as they will rust.

Mine are waiting at the post office, Tuff Lights requires a signature for delivery. I ordered off Amazon, the price had gone up $3 to 89.89. I see it's now up to $98.50.

HA-Ha... not sure that anyone would still be around to verify they did indeed outlast a supernova explosion!

I also see they have "Quarts (sic) lens glass"... would that be the glass off the bottom of a quart jar?


Incorrect spelling and hard to fathom statements are a staple of descriptions/directions of stuff made in China.

Mine came today, I still think the price is fair for 4 LED lights, even if they are from The PRC.

I also ordered the "universal wiring kit" or what ever it was called. I don't know what I expected, but for $50 this is not it. The one I soldered together for my last work light is 10 times better with heavier gauge wire, switch and solenoid. I'm going to retro fit it from a single halogen flood light to the 4 LED's and send this junk back.

I bought 1 "Ecco" brand led light at a local machinery dealer to see what all this high price led stuff is about, for $56. It's made in China. Ecco makes most of the back up alarms on my machinery and I thought of it as a good product. It is the 4" sq type (27w) with 9 led's with a cast alum housing. Hooked it up to a battery in the shop & it seems to throw a bretty good beam but I was not overly impressed vs my Hella twin 55w halogen utility lamps that I have on my trucks. (for less $$) I decided to go fleabay and got 2 VERY similar lamps, only a different pattern to the cast cooling fins on the back of the housing, for the same $56!! When I got them (free shipping) I hooked them both up in the shop and no difference. Now maybe time will tell but for 1/2 price, no shipping or sales tax.... They are from sunvalley tech? or what ever, money talks & bs walks. I think that we are kidding ourselves, it's all from china. The bracket & bolt/nut hardware for my lights seems to be stainless & look to be very equal quality & const. as my expensive Ecco light.:confused3:
In my short shopping & learning curve with led's, it seems that each visible led is worth 3 watts? That is all the 27w have 9 and the 48w all have 16 led's. Can anyone confirm this?

This is my understanding of LEDs. The major difference between your Hellas and the LEDs is the LEDs draw take half the amps to run. So I look at it as comparing the light output of 4x 27 watt LED floods compared to 2x 55 watt Hellas...
