Yes, it can be done. Just find the proper size turbo for the displacement of the engine.

I doubt it would be cheap. Either you would need to source all the parts needed or have access to (or pay) a machine shop. If you are looking for a project then go for it. If you are thinking that you can buy a 7100 cheap and put a turbo on it to get more power I think you'll find that it'd be cheaper to just buy a bigger tractor. You can only get so much out of the engine and you're going to run into issues because the rest of the tractor was designed with how much power the stock engine puts out.

You will need to increase cooling capacity.

Several contributors have added turbos. Most have regretted it because performance/reliability was less than expected, final cost too high, or modified tractor resale fell to near ZERO.

BUY ENOUGH TRACTOR.

My query is just theoretical. I have no need for a larger tractor nor do I intend to turbo the B7100 I have.I was just wondering if it can be done. Thanks for the answers

Enter your tractor into your TBN profile.

I installed a turbo on my 1720 Ford because I wanted more power but not a new bigger tractor.
Best mod ever, no issues with lots of power when needed.
Used a turbo off s Saab Garrett GT1752 if my memory serves me correct.
Not a expensive mod for me but time consuming planning and implementing.
There are photos in the review section.

Mitsubishi smart car engine.

90cummins,
Did you increase engine cooling? Do you recall boost psi? Turbo, oil or water cooled? Thanks.
