There's NOTHING personal about personal identity. For $1.99 you can find out just about anything about anybody, i.e. name, address, phone numbers, email address, salary, how much they owe, value of their properties, names of all kinfolks and neighbors, criminal record(s).
That's not of consequence to most of us though - after all, why would we particularly care? I'm pretty easy to find - heck, I'm in the phone book. Searching out that kind of information is reserved for the very nosy or those that have nothing else to do. Just don't start jacking around my bank accounts though! You'll 'find me' a lot quicker than you could imagine.
HAH! 2 months ago while I was in Colorado, wifey calls me and say's there are two $900 plus charges on our debit cards from a Dollar General store 100 miles from where we live, and wants to know what I bought on my way out there. Well, I have never been in a Dollar General, and after a few phone calls we realize someone stole our card info. Fortunately, the bank returned the money right away, and stuck Dollar General with the charge. Turns out our card info was probably stolen at a convenience store when I bought gas. No one is safe these days...
