Ugliest New Vehicle???

It is ugly but not as ugly as the Pontiac Aztec (can't remember if they still make it). I am pretty sure the guy who designed the Aztec works for Honda now but I am not sure. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I used to think it was the Aztec, but today I saw a boxy little thing without the slightest vestige of grace or style. I actually walked over to it for a better look. It was an Element.

honda has been making vehicles like the element for years, so has toyota, mitsubishi, mazda, and daihatsu. they just havent brought them to america. i dont think they are bad if you like boxes, volvos have sold well over the years.

i feel the aztec is just plain horrible.

Is it just my imagination, or did you used to see more Volvos back in the 1970's and 80's when they were boxy and marketed as the "safe" car, than now when they are sold as sleekly (is that a word?) styled luxury cars.

The element looks like something you would see in Cra and Driver magazine when they take those "spy shots" of next years models. You know, they ahve the black masks over them so you can't REALLy see the body lines.

Either that or the Element is still evolving looks like it needs to return to the 'vehicular womb" for a few more months /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Aztec is really head and shoulders above the competition, considering it brought the tent conversion rear end to the market first.
