Unbelievable prices for Massey parts! Pure HIGHWAY ROBBERY!

OK guys, if any of you have "spare" time, here's the parts numbers for what I'm looking for:

3756730M1 lower hose
3756731M2 upper hose
3702576M1 radiator cap

I'd be forever grateful if you could find a place that sells these :cowgirl:

I checked at my Massey dealer for a rear work light. They had one with a switch on it fo over $90. I went to the local auto parts place and got a light for $12 and added a switch to it, works well. Ed

Thanks Skyhook - I saw that and since I have the original cap, I may as well use it. Any suggestions on how to clean it without ruining the rubber seal?

Spent a couple more hours last night looking at hoses from online auto stores, etc. None of them have the 1" end. There's the 1-1/4", but I need a hose with both sizes. I also saw hose reducers, inserts that reduce the ID...anybody use them without problems?

It may be I'll have to reuse what I removed. Thankfully they're not damaged.

What is it with these guys, huh? The work lights on mine are just black and they WORK without the MF logo

I just had to have nearly the entire hydraulic system on my JD 2550 rebuilt/replaced if you want to see outrageous prices. Some of those parts are over $1000, EACH. The gear set for my NH haybine (2 gears) cost $1400 if you buy it new. A 2” x 3” x 1/4” steel plate for the JD steering valve cost $170. I could go on and on…That’s just the cost of doing business when dealing with farm equipment. Buy used or aftermarket when you can.

Thanks Murph! Went there a few times and there's nothing that fits.

The cap needs to be 15 psi. One parts store said I could go lower (never higher) and use any with the correct neck length and diameter. Is he correct? I can get an off-rack and be OK?

The reason of why so many good pieces of equipment are unused and sit out and rust away?! :grumpy:

All manufactures stick it to you on parts. I worked building Caterpillar wheel loaders and excavators for 36 years. On a average machine they will make 4 times the profit of the sale over the life of the machine on profit from the parts. That is why they work so hard to keep knock off parts off the market.
