United 560HD-60" Heavy Duty Box

Anyone have experience with this brand? The price seems right... too right. I expect to pay more than $300 for a truly heavy BB. I intend to get a truly heavy duty unit to deal with our beautiful CT soil /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi, Steve. I have the 560HD unit. Nothing to be afraid of, here. I had the 48' version with my 2210, and it is equally well-built. It doesn't always hold true, but boxblade quality can be generally judged by the weight. The Woods/gannon boxes, as well as a few other will be heavier and definately more expensive. Keep something in mind as you consider that $300 price: the implement is in North Carolina. I paid about $375 for mine, delivered and backed by my local dealer. The dealer told me he'll sell the same box for $400+ all day.

Here's a pic of the same box in 48" so you can see the support beam and toplink. I took this pic at the dealer before I bought my 2210 a little over a year ago. The design is the same. They are well-built for the money.

I have the 566HD unit for my driveway grading business. That box has worked flawlessly.. Never have a single issue with it.. I just need to get the hydralic toplink and side link kit for better control.. You will be happy with it.

Pete, Thanks for the info - I hadn't really considered shipping until you mentioned that - I'll bet it's a lot to get it up to CT. it sounds like you and Curt are both happy with the brand which helps. At least I know I don't have to spend a lot of $$ to get a decent one.

Thanks again,

Steve,
I also own a 48" united HD box blade. Bought it at Leinbach Equipment in Winston Salem NC for 229.00. Great quality at a good price.

Steve,

I have one, got it from a local dealer. I paid $300.00 for it. It is heavy duty and looks like it is made well. It even works with my quick hitch. I've used mine to build and maintain my 1600' driveway and to do some general clearing/grading of dirt and gravel. So far, I'm satisified that I got my money's worth. Both the front and back blades are replaceable. Good luck in your search.

Steve, this product, United, is a leinbach distributed product and is pretty good esp. for the money. My dealer also sells them and I've looked them over, but never used one. They look as good and better than most economy boxes out there. I say economy in contrast to the $500 up boxes that aren't always necessary or that well built. John

What do you think about the KIOTI brand of implements? I haven't been to my dealers to really get a good look at them, if in fact he has any. Have you seen any first hand?
KIOTI's web-site shows some nice looking units. Thanks, G

( What do you think about the KIOTI brand of implements? ) I have the 48" boxblade (made by midwest for Kioti) and it's a doozy. No problems and works great. I haven't bought any other Kioti implements so far. John

Did you buy it at your dealers? How much can I expect to pay?

The sidewalls in the picture look only to be 1/4 inch thick? Is this accurate or is it me?

( Did you buy it at your dealers? I didn't complain as I was getting a satisfactory price for the whole package, but it is too much if buying individually IMHO. John

( so r u dryin out yet???? ) I don't really understand the question as we have had only about 1 inch of rain in the last two months! Unless you're referring to my trip to my Mom's place up in Georgia about a month or so ago when I was playing in some mud that didn't appear to even be there until I got to workin the dirt. John

Thanks to everyone for the information - The United seems like a pretty good deal. Now to find one local...

Hi Steve, I live in Oakdale CT !! I am also looking for a 48"BB and have not had any luck locally, the best price $435.00, was DH Marvin in Colchester but they had to order and it would not be available till June, Kahns in Franklin where I bought my Kubota BX23, wanted $675.00 for the same Woods 48" BB!!, tried Northerntool.com but shipping was $118.00, let me know if you find something and I wiil keep looking also.

Steve, since I happened on this BB at my dealer's today, thought you might like to see a different perspective of the box. This one is a 72" with 6 rippers. First pic is front
