Thanks KJ - I know the soil/sand conditions are different in Florida - at least at my brothers place in Ormond Beach - Not nearly the roots/rocks, and clay that I have here. I thought a 6' would be too big for my tractor... Are you using the CK20 with that BB? (I re-read your posts - I see you bought the 48")

It looks well made, very well made. I don't have anything to compare to, but those rippers look like they could do some serious cutting. I'd be interested to know how you do with it.

Thanks again,

What brand was Marvin quoting you? I'm going there today and I"ll get some prices just for comparison purposes. I bought my tractor there - I'll see if I get any discount.

Take Care,

Have you checked out the tractor shop in North Brandford? They sell a lot of implements - but from what I've seen listed I think they are lower end product lines. I don't recall their name but they advertise a lot on the Bargain News website - you can link to them from there.

I called over there today - They gave me a price of $499 for a 65" Woods heavy duty unit. I haven't shopped that model - but it didn't seem out of line for a heavy unit. I've seen a lot in the light to mid duty range that are cheaper.

So after all this I decided to add the 3rd SCV and rent a hydraulic rake from them. It's a $6000 attachment - so I won't be buying one anytime soon - but it sounds like it will shape up may area real well. I figure on renting it for a weekend and get the job done.

I just took the pic of the United for you and anyone that may have wanted to see an up-close picture of a 6' BB. The 48" does a good job for me, and as you say, the soil is sandy here as well as in Ormand. John
