And I do hope the owner ( when he gets time) will post some pics of what failed and resulting damage.
whether it was the split lock valve spring retainers
valves themselves or
valve guide inserts if applicable

Sorry to hear that Kioti won't cover this motor destruction. If I were a major manufacturer I would sure as all **** cover this just to stop the bad press that it will get them.

This is probably a 10k tab to fix. We don’t know any details about the problem assuming it even exists. Kioti owes this guy nothing. Does Kubota owe LD1 a motor after he ran his out of oil? Anybody with half a brain would look past this negativity. Not covering warranty issues well past the time frame = bad. That’s a new one.

Just because something is posted on the net in a forum, does NOT make it true. Neither does it make it false. So readers have to do their best to discern what is or isn't fact from fiction.

Apply critical thinking to the issue at hand and decide for oneself whether the 'facts' pass the smell test.
For instance, does radios1 from Long Island who supposedly owns a Deere, and comes at Kioti threads like he knows everything about them and has nothing helpful or even slightly reasonable to say about them, and takes every possible opportunity to slam them on TBN seem credible to you? If so, then you're likely naive about how brand bashing takes place; sometimes subtly, sometimes more obvious.

This thread, and the other thread by the OP have only given vague details about the tractor in question. The one video clip of coolant gushing out of the engine/radiator, and we're told the block heater plug on the ground lead me to believe the block heater was installed incorrectly. As a result of the associated problems caused by it, the engine overheated, a valve collet failed and allowed the associated valve to drop into the piston and the engine was destroyed as a result of same. This is the most likely sceneario, given the 'facts' we have been told by the OP. And if only 450 hours, BUT actually off warranty for a year beyond the time limit; then any manufacturer has NO obligation to good will anything to the OP.

Could Kioti give the out of warranty customer a free replacement engine because of the OP's two threads on TBN? Yes, and pigs could fly any day now.

If this thread is what might, along with Eric's rants about how unfairly he has been treated by Kioti with his wildly modified in most every aspect NX series Kioti, one could imagine Kioti, and all other manufacturers giving away free engines at county fairs all 4th of July holiday, no questions asked.

Consider reality doubters, that what we've been fed so far does not add up without much more specific details already asked for by numerous knowledgeable poster's reasonable questions. Give us actual details and needed feedback. Make this tale, if possible, seem to be based in facts and maybe you can turn this around into something that could be useful to owners of Kioti tractors.

There’s almost certainly details left out to make this look like less of the OPs fault than it actually is. That’s assuming this problem even exist at all. I’d like to see a single provable case of someone getting a free engine and paid shop time a year out of warranty. Your brothers girlfriends dads uncles heard about a story doesn’t count. That claim is a blatant lie as far as I’m concerned.

This whole thing doesn't make any sense! Kioti is a reputable brand and I'm sure that if they saw it as their fault they'd look into it so that they could correct future engines.

I don't think that Kioti is refusing to repair because out of warranty, but because according to what the dealer told them, it's not their fault nor it is an engine flaw.
All too often people don't want to abide by a contract (bill of sale) when it's to their detriment. We don't know what happened and therefore can only surmise. The OP ought to have been more clear and offered more information.

I've noticed a lot of negativity lately on some peoples postings. Not sure why this is happening because I am not a regular on here all the time.
I think some folks including myself who visit this site often get a little tired of the kioti bashing.Much not deserved. They might have 10 posts total and post some BS trouble with there tractors and then you never hear back from them if the problem was resolved.A little suspect to say the least..There are some great folks on this site who have great knowledge how to help with true issues. So ya folks get a little pissy when the false issues/problems blossom.I own john deere,Kubota, and kioti products but don"t slide into other forums and start bit-hing to get a rise out of folks like a few do here and they know who they are. They come here on a regular basis to stir the pot with some stupid chit with no merit.

It's a sad shame when Tribalism has to spill over into a thread like this. I'm not picking sides on this thread as it doesn't really matter. For some, it seems it really does matter...WHY....do you have a dog in the fight?
