Back a few years ago I priced out a sx3100 vs 2720. Tractor/loader and the 2720 was cheaper by about a $1k. IMO, the Deere loaders and mower decks are much better design than the Yanmar style. To each their own though.

I thought the Yanmar was discontinued. I'm I wrong about that?

I know the tractor price vary by area. Does $11000 plus $1500 for the kk tiller sounds about right? the tractor has 230 hrs in mint condition and the tiller has about 10hrs on it. Keep in mind the tractor is bare.

Like I said "few years ago"

$11K for a 230 hr 2720? Sounds fair to me as far as what Ive seen around here.. $1500 for a dang near new KK tiller, 5'er? Pretty much new price around here. 10hrs, just look at the tines, if it looks good, Id say get it.

My 2320 has 230 hrs. Is it fair for me to set my price at 11000 for tractor.
The kk tiller i paid $1500 at tsc, i am asking $1500 for because its like new and i have to turn around and go buy one anyway. Like i previously said its only got approximately 10 hrs on it. Does this sounds like fair prices? The potential buyer is my uncle after all.

Have you looked on sites like Tractorhouse or machinefinder to see what dealers are selling used 2320s for? I would say $11 is fine for what you have. Now on the tiller, your gonna sell yours to your uncle and go buy a new one? That dont make sense to me, but if you can do a even swap that way I guess go for it.

For what it's worth,

I just bought a 60" King Cutter for my 2520. It cost me $1,750 plus tax. I'd say that $1,500 is a fair price.

After reading this thread and others, I'm pretty confident that the 2520 will handle the 60" alright in our sandy soil here in Idaho. I'm also not tilling acreage like you, so I'll have no problem going slow in garden plots.

I'll report back in a week or two once I've given it a go.

Can anyone quote me a price on a new 2520? Does anyone know what the list price was as the build it feature is gone on the deere website.

I have a 2320 like you and for the most part it does what I need it to do. You have to take it slow with deep snow with the blower and by the sounds of it tilling as well. I was actually torn between a b3300su that an uncle was willing to sell and a new B2620 or 2320 when the JD called me on the used 2320. I am would have preferred more HP but the cost on the used one negated the benefits of more HP for me.

It sounds like you till alot and maybe I often. For me if things take longer so be it, but if for you it means alot less time with a bigger machine.

Personally, if I go anywhere from here it will be to like a 3320 with a cab.

Cheers,
