Use Cut Off Saw for Cutting Bricks??

/ Use Cut Off Saw for Cutting Bricks?? #21
I had NO success using a Harbor Freight cut-off (chop) saw and a Dewalt 12" masonry bade. Waste a lot of money. The chop saw just didn't spin the blade fast enough. I cut, but it took FOREVER. BTW, the cheap-o $4.00 masonry blades (look just like the metal cutting blades) are a total waste of time.

The neighbors son loaned me his screw-drive circular with a masonry blade and that thing worked great! Had to cut from each side (of 4" block) but not a problem.

I just cut stone and brick using my 3600 RPM table saw and a 7-1/4" diamond blade used for that purpose. It worked fine. The blade cost about 15-20 if I remember,
