In case of that tractor (BX25), it has a simple lever that moves back to raise, center to hold in place and forward to lower the 3 pt. No position control and the lever just springs to the center position all the time.It never ceases to amaze me of the myths that abound on the internet about some function controls on tractors.
Your Kubota has float built into the 3pt mechanism & operator should only need to hold 3pt control lever in place if friction device doesn't hold control lever where set where last positioned by hand.
In order for the 3 pt to drop all the way down to contour uneven ground, one must hold the lever forward or use a bungee cord. All fo that because, for some reason, Kubota decided to go away with the detent that they used to have the old grey market tractors.
