How soon would you wear out the brake pads, I would assume that it wouldn't take that much braking though to hold it back. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to look into that.

Rock$oldsano, I dont think they ever wear out, I know of one getting hot, cuz The owner, left them on on took off down the road, The adjuster, is nothing more than a fabricated linkage that you set manually to cause drag,..A hand wheel mounted on a threaded shaft, applying shoe contact, there are lines about 8in long on the bag, and you adjust the brakes to strech the lines to about 10in or so, Eric
