Yes, they did pay taxes prior to the Tea Party. They had no say in how they were spent or how much was collected--that was the rub.

I'm certainly not condoning fraud, waste and abuse by the Government and never intended to indicate as such. I'm a taxpayer as well as the rest of you and I believe I pay far too much in taxes myself.

I fervently believe that if (1) money wasn't urinated away on the Federal, State and Local level on useless Government projects and (2) everyone paid their correct taxes that our effective tax rates could be cut as much as 50%. There is far more fraud outside Government than inside.

I thought this would be a debate about dead-heading, or driving your tractor on the road to a location with off road fuel in the tank. Although I don't drive my tractor on the road much at all, when I've gone out to clear snow I haven't drained the off road fuel out of my tractor and filled the tank with taxed on road un-dyed diesel.

Ag equipment such as combines, tractors, etc. are a common sight on the public highways around here. I've always assumed that they are exempt from the on-road/off-road fuel requirements since they are not "highway vehicles". They don't carry auto/truck license plates either.

Thanks Tom. I assume the same, but I don't know. Rather than see any answer to this sort of question, some people, for reasons unknown to me, have resorted to personal attacks against our government and our elected officials. Perhaps if they despise our government and elected officials that much, they should leave this country and take up residence somewhere else.

Hypothetically speaking , if someone were to turn someone in for running off-road dyed fuel on-road, who would you turn them into? Would it be department of taxation or Department of transporation?

I sure wouldn't want an person like you living close to me. You are trouble! Worry about your own life and not everyone elses. The world would be a much better place without people like you.

I echo Dargo and erosol replies. I get along with all my neighbors, as long as they don't do anything to harm me or my family. I could care less what color fuel they use in their vehicles.

Personally, I could care less about their color, the color of their fuel, or the color of their tractor. The only thing that I am concerned with is if they are a good neighbor and citizen. I have enough managing my own life and family without trying to meddle in others lives. I've even stayed out of the political comments, so I guess that makes me a good member of the TBN family.
